UBA Ghana is going pink every Monday throughout October to raise awareness about breast cancer. Through this initiative, employees are encouraged to wear pink in support of the fight against breast cancer and to promote the importance of early detection.
Beyond wearing pink, the initiative highlights UBA Ghana’s commitment to educating employees, customers and the public about the importance of breast cancer awareness and regular screening.
As part of the campaign, U-Lionesses, the Bank’s women’s network, organised free breast cancer screening and education for employees in partnership with healthcare professionals from Nationwide Health Insurance. The team conducted screenings and shared useful information on early detection and self-examination.
Health experts emphasise that early detection saves lives. Regular screening and self-examination can help identify breast cancer early, improving treatment outcomes and increasing survival rates.
UBA Ghana continues to support efforts to raise awareness about breast cancer and encourage early detection. The initiative also highlights the importance of employee well-being and taking simple steps to prioritise good health
Through initiatives like UBA Goes Pink, the Bank continues to use its platform to support the fight against breast cancer and encourage more people to take action.
