Academic City University College earned second place in the recent Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge held October 7-8, 2024, in Cape Town, South Africa, and also received the award for Most Creative Policy Brief.

Organized by the Atlantic Council U.S.A., the competition brought together top students from across Africa to address a simulated cyber crisis and propose innovative policy solutions. The Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge pushed us to think critically and creatively, and it was an incredible opportunity to test our skills on an international stage.” She also praised Academic City for providing them with the skills to excel.

Dr. Grace Oletu, who mentored the team, commended the students for their dedication, focus, and creativity. “The team followed instructions diligently and represented Academic City with excellence.
